Mike and I met on a dating app but ironically he only lived 15 minutes from me! I was drawn to how he volunteered for Search and Rescue and that he had an adorable lab; Dakota! A few months before I moved in with him in December 2014 he adopted a lab mix; Jackson. But back to the beginning... we met for breakfast because I was planning to hike that day in Catoctin and he had to leave that day for work travel to Mozambique! We spent the next month chatting every single night on google chat while he was in Mozambique. When he came back I got us tickets to a brewery festival because I knew he liked craft beers. I on the other hand named Corona as my favorite beer! That has definitely changed! Mike and I share a love for hiking, camping and climbing. We generally climb once a week at an indoor climbing gym; Earth Treks. After my parents passed away in 2014, Mike's parents; Ed and Madge welcomed me to their holiday celebrations with open arms. I am so happy that I will officially be able to call them family but they have been like my family for years now. Since my father is no longer here to, my father's best friend Nancy has accepted the honor of walking me down the aisle. We can't wait to share this profession of our ongoing commitment to each other in front of all of you.
