Meghan and Michael met freshman year of college at ASU. They lived one door down from each other and they met in the hallway when Meghan walked right up to Michael and said, “Hi, I’m Meghan!” From that moment on, the two were best friends their Freshman year. They would go everywhere together - movies, class, parties, frozen yogurt shops when ditching class. Then the summer hit and it was time to go home. Meghan and Michael both went back to their homes and continued to stay in contact for a time before losing touch over the years. Meghan was away, jet setting across the world while Michael was basking in the warm Arizona sun. In October 2019, Michael got on Facebook Messager and decided to message Meghan out of the blue. In the message he said, “Where in the world are you?” Which Meghan responded “I’m in Gilbert!” Michael asked if Meghan wanted to hangout and they have been hanging out ever since.

When it came time for Michael to pop the question to Meghan, she made sure to tell him her musts for the proposal - make sure her nails are done and that there is a photographer present. With these notes Michael decided what better way to ask for Meghan's hand than on a cruise ship! (She LOVES cruises) So, Meghan and Michael booked an Alaskan cruise in June of 2022. Once they boarded the ship and got settled, Michael snuck away to speak to some photographers about setting up this amazing moment. When the ship started to sail into the port of Juneau, Michael grabbed Meghan and took her outside on the deck. Two photographers were there taking photos of people with the beautiful background. Michael and Meghan posed for some beautiful photos and when Meghan turned away from the scenery to look at Michael, he was down on one knee. She of course said YES! and tears of joy came down Meghan's face. Then the rest is history!
