We went on a date here in September 2020 and something made it feel like a big night (probably the anticipation of those three little words). Of course, Megan had to say it first after dinner at Sonny's :)
Need a last minute find before the wedding? The San Clemente outlets are a great place to kill some time and find the missing piece to your fabulous outfit. Megan loves to shop here and just wishes Mike would give her an allowance to do so.
We've been on many walks at the Harbor and it's great to go to for a stroll while watching the seals! There are also great places to check out in the harbor: Wind and Sea has strong (aka good) mai thais, Mike proposed at Dorris Walker Overlook, and RJ's has a great breakfast - mainly the cinnamon roll (do not leave without getting one). Baby beach is a great place to paddle board without massive waves!
There are a ton of shops and restaurants on Avenida Del Mar! Lots of little boutiques to browse through and find some unique items. Some of our favorite restaurants in that area are: Nick's ($$$), Sol Agave, and Mike's first place of work, Baskin Robbins ;)
Enough said.
For those too poor to go to Disneyland. Megan of course has a pass to Knott's #ballinonabudget
CDM is a pretty beach with a cute little town in walking distance. We love Mama D's for some good Italian!
Megan loves to park at north beach and take the trail all the way to San Clemente State Beach Pier. It is a beautiful, beach side walk!
Another great walking path! If you park right next to Monarch Bay Montessori Academy (32920 Pacific Coast Hwy, Dana Point, CA 92629) you will see a walking path entrance. Take that down to the paved path at the golf course and turn right. In less than a mile you'll be at Salt Creek Beach! It is a nice trail that Megan loves to walk. You can continue walking it to walk through Strands Beach and if you are in the mood for a workout, you can walk/run up the hill to the Ritz for an awesome view!
