We went here on what Kenzie believed to be our first date. It's an old "Americana" ice cream spot with tons of home-made, classic flavors. Michael's favorite is the mint cookie, Kenzie loves the 50/50 mango freeze with vanilla ice cream.
Mckenzie's workplace! We love coffee and tea, and they do them best ;)
Our favorite little coffee shop to visit aside from Mckenzie's workplace, Temple. Try the Faria pastries or their breakfast sandwich!
If you've never visited Sacramento, then you should check out Old Town! Locals may have been here enough in their lifetime to not get as excited as they once would have, but worth a visit to transport yourself back to the times of the Gold Rush and visit fun and quirky shops, bars and restaurants.
Where Michael proposed to Mckenzie! Beautiful modern and chic dining, go there for an elegant dinner with superb English inspired fare.
For an upscale downtown dinner feel, come to Ella's chic dining room. Or we highly recommend their happy hour, one of the best in town!
Our favorite casual, unassuming ramen house. Go with the classic Black Garlic tonkatsu, Red (spicy) tonkatsu, or a mix of the two!
Arguably the best BBQ in town, and it's a brewery! (What else do you need?) If you need more, its got big outdoor picnic style dining in front and in back, and a lively industrial indoor dining room with great tunes and unlimited BBQ sauce.
Our favorite place for deli or BBQ sandwiches! Ask what they have from the smoker that day, go with the Roxie House Special for a deli-style, or get a little weird with their Meatball Mafia! The pro's go here for lunch and take the sandwiches to McKinley Park nearby for a sunny little picnic!
This is a great spot to sit back, relax outdoors in a picnic area or on a huge lawn. Enjoy a few craft brews one of their adult slushies. It overlooks downtown Sacramento and offers a nice selections of pizzas and other beer-friendly fare.
A little chunk of Mexico hidden down one of Midtown's many alleys! We love their al pastor and their vibes, grab some tacos and cervezas at this fun outdoor cantina.
Our favorite casual yet swanky cocktail bar, a mixed crowd of hip and energetic folks of all ages come here to enjoy some of the best mixology in town.
The birthplace of the White Linen cocktail! Often graced by small live bands, this dimly lit but lively saloon has a surprisingly great food menu, and great drinks as well.
If the wedding reception isn't enough moving and grooving for you, head to Darling Aviary's hip and trendy rooftop once the sun goes down for some more DJ'ing, dancing and drinks.
Awesome spot for cocktails, beers, burgers, and sausages - a German style "bierhalle" turned nightclub after dark. One of the more popular places to go out in Midtown.
One of our favorite places to get breakfast! Their scones are not scones, they are magic. Come here for an English pub style breakfast and DO NOT forget to order a scone with their Devonshire cream.
Midtown's favorite breakfast diner, it is well worth a visit. Just expect a bit of a wait if you don't arrive early!
