We are getting married

It all began on a brisk night, November 1st 2021, at Cooper Canyon in downtown Silver Spring. We had matched on Bumble, but this was our first time meeting in person. I’ll never forget seeing Marie Claire walk in, book bag on her back, and lighting up the room with her smile. Over prime rib, smoked salmon, and endless lemonades, we laughed and connected like old friends. We closed the restaurant with pumpkin cheesecake and strolled around town—Marie Claire proudly showing me her favorite spots. Even though I grew up in the area, that night felt entirely new. I wanted to walk her to her car, but didn’t—out of respect. Later, she told me she appreciated that choice. A year later, we returned to Cooper Canyon after a near-fire almost took it from us. It was still standing, just like our growing love. Marie Claire’s beauty and warmth continue to leave me awestruck. I knew then—and now—that she’s the love of my life.

All three of our boys met together at the Baltimore Aquarium, and we realized immediately that our love for science, discovery and adventure would bring us all together. Now our cozy home filled with laughter and creativity, our blended family thrives on their shared passions—building intricate Lego worlds, cheering each other on in soccer games, shooting hoops in the backyard, and grilling hot dogs and eating ramen. We have fond memories of trips to North Carolina, South Dakota, local beaches, exploring nature, and connecting with family, and turning everyday moments into bursts of creativity with art, and music always playing in the background.
