All wedding events including the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception will be held outside in the beautiful St. Croix sunshine. The total size of the wedding is likely to be less than 20 people and we will only congregate in outdoor spaces with appropriate social distancing. Based on available CDC information, we are hopeful but not reliant on a vaccine being made available in early 2021. It is possible that an unexpected event could arise that would cause us to delay the wedding to a later date (such as a positive test before departure). We strongly encourage you to book refundable plane tickets so you do not incur an extra expense if we have to make a last second change. The Buccaneer has given full flexibility to change hotel reservations without penalty. Safety is at the forefront of all of our decisions and we will not hesitate to make changes to ensure the well-being of our family.
Yes. For the wedding ceremony and reception we are asking that men dress in at least business casual meaning dress shoes, slacks and a long sleeve button down shirt (ties and jackets optional). Please no polos or short sleeve shirts. For the women, we suggest a cocktail dress and shoes that can be worn on the beach. The rest of the week will be very casual so please pack shorts, bathing suits and your best Hawaiian shirts!
The immediate family will be staying together in a house at the Buccaneer Resort. We would like to invite the extended family to stay in the hotel rooms at the Buccaneer so we can all easily get together for meals, excursions and the wedding itself! Please reach out and we can help you coordinate booking your rooms at the Buccaneer.
You will likely not have to rent a car for your trip to St. Croix. Tanya Brownrigg and Trish McGean will both be renting large cars/vans for the week and we will be able to arrange your transportation to and from the airport. When we do leave the Buccaneer Resort, we will likely all go together as a group so you won't have a need for an additional vehicle.
Yes! Please reach out to Michael (michaelmcgean@gmail.com) or Maggie (brownriggma@gmail.com) and we will be in touch with our wedding coordinator Erin. In the spring, we will send out more details about food and let you choose your meal.
Please RSVP by February 28th, 2021.
