Please rsvp by December 1st 2025
Please wear something dressy casual, note that this is a working ranch that will have uneven ground, dirt floors, wood chips and tiles so bring appropriate footwear. High heels and/or bare feet might not be the best choice. We will have a handful of outdoor heaters and blankets but bring a sweater, the valley in the spring can get a little damp and chilly at night.
There are a few smaller regional airports near Santa Ynez, including Santa Barbara Municipal Airport, Santa Maria Public Airport, and San Luis Obispo Airport. Larger international airports nearby include Los Angeles International Airport
Vieja Valley Ranch is the private property of Maggie’s Aunt Kathy and Uncle and Richard Palmer. It is a working and active ranch with horses, chickens and roaming free range cattle. We ask that everyone please respect the property and the animals.
We will be having a few "work parties" to help set up for the festivities before the wedding and to break everything down after the wedding. We have planned this wedding all on our own with help from friends and family and we appreciate any and all help we can get in the process of making this day one to remember. if you are interested in helping out please get in contact with either of us and we can provide more information about dates and times.
We will be providing a shuttle to and from the wedding for everyone with multiple pick up locations in Santa Ynez and Buellton. Times and exact locations coming soon.
We are very excited to have Taco Party Catering for dinner there will be multiple options for tacos including 3 meat options and a vegan option with all the possible fixings. Please let us know if you have an food allergies
We would love to have everyone come and celebrate this beautiful day with us but we ask that unless your plus one or children have been expressly invited that they remain home.
Of course! although we do ask that you refrain from taking pictures during the actual ceremony, we have a photographer that will be taking photos and we would love for everyone to keep their phones down and be present while sharing this moment with us.
We will be providing libations for the evening including beer, cider, wine, and spirits for cocktails. Drinks will be free but please bring a bit of cash to tip our bartender.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! We have a registry here on this site if you would like to honor us with a gift. We will also have a place for cards at the reception.
There are quite a few options on where to stay, I have set up links to a few of the facilities near the venue but there are many more. Solvang and Los Olivos will be on the more expensive side for lodging while Santa Ynez and Buellton will be a bit cheaper but a little further away from the venue. All of these little towns are within 20-30 mins from the venue itself. For our dirtbag friends there is dispersed camping in the surrounding area off the 101 and 154 highways but they will be a bit more of a drive.
It’s going to be a busy weekend for everyone but we would love to hang out with all of our friends and family, especially those that are flying in. We will be in the area for a few days before and after the wedding and would love to hang out!
