We're getting married!

On a warm January day in Charlotte, North Carolina, Maggie and Mike were enjoying the sunshine and watching college basketball (Ohio State vs. Michigan) with a few friends. As the two Michigan fans randomly struck up conversation, the two groups clicked. The six friends spent time hiking, dining, exploring Charlotte, and occasionally watching Downton Abbey together. As friends moved and life phases changed, Maggie and Mike fell out of touch. Almost three years after their first meeting, they had a chance meeting (again!). Mike noticed Maggie hosting a lecture at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte while Mike was passing by on his way to his MBA class. Thankfully, Mike quickly said hello and they agreed to catch up over beers soon. A little more than two years later, Mike proposed on a rainy hike on the Blueridge Parkway outside of Asheville, one of their favorite spots in North Carolina. It was a weekend to remember - romance, good food, beautiful views - only the start of our big adventure.

A few weeks after the proposal, Mike accepted an incredible job opportunity in Stockholm, Sweden. So, we jumped at the opportunity to experience life abroad. We fully relocated to Stockholm on June 1. We love discovering our new city and exploring the Scandinavian region. It is quite the way to begin our life together. We can't wait to be welcomed back home to the US to celebrate our marriage with you!
