Madelaine started at CBU in 2020 in their architecture program and Michael transferred into the same architecture cohort in 2022. For a little over a year, we were just classmates... although we often caught each other's eye but brushed it off as just a daily coincidence. Over the summer in 2023, we both travelled to Italy as a class where we started to be friends not just classmates. We spent more and more time together talking to each other in studio and Michael driving Madelaine to her car. It wasn't until October when we had our first date at Oak Glen Apple Orchards, and quickly fell in love with each other. On November 22, 2023 Michael asked Madelaine out officially and soon after we met each others families. Since then, we have made many memories including church and brunch on Sundays, many late nights working on our projects, cooking together, National Park trips, Disneyland, movie nights, puzzles, games, and so much more. We both quickly knew that God made us for each other and that we wanted our futures together. On November 30, 2024 in Waco, Texas on the bank of the Brazos River, Michael proposed and Madelaine said yes! So far in 2025, we have both graduated with our Masters in Architecture from CBU, and are preparing to enter the profession in Texas. We can't wait to establish our marriage under God and start our own family rooted in love, laughter, and faith.
