We kindly ask guests to dress respectfully for a Catholic Mass and we understand that it is July and will be sunny! Please avoid wearing white, as well as colors that closely match the bridal party - a dusty blue. If you're looking for what to wear, I'd reccomend floral formal. Bring out the bright Summer colors and festive floral patterns!
Please plan to arrive 30 minutes before the ceremony start time to allow for seating and a prompt beginning of Mass.
Yes - the wedding Mass will be celebrated outdoors! Please plan accordingly for the weather and terrain. Comfortable footwear is encouraged, and we reccomend bringing sunglasses or light layers as needed! The ceremony will include the full Catholic mass and typically lasts about an hour.
The ceremony will take place in late July, so warm weather is expected. In the event of inclement weather, we have a backup plan in place and guests will be informed promptly. The location will not change as there is an alternate, indoor chapel at the Shrine!
During Mass, all Catholics in good standing are invited to receive Holy Communion. Those who are not Catholic, or who prefer not to receive, are warmly welcome to come forward with arms crossed to receive a blessing, or to remain seated in prayer.
We invite you to be fully present with us! This will be an unplugged ceremony and we kindly ask that phones and cameras remain away during Mass. We have hired an excellent photography and videography team that will capture any moment we need!
We do not have reserved room blocks but have provided a list of recommended hotels in the area in the travel tab, so please feel free to book the accommodations that best fit your needs.
We want everyone to enjoy the reception! Please list any dietary restrictions or allergies when you RSVP so we can accomodate you as best as possible.
Your presence is truly the greatest gift. We are so excited to spend the day with our family and friends. Please keep in mind that we will be traveling to the UK after the wedding so utilizing the registry for gifts works best - where gifts will be delivered to our future home. Lorelei moved to the UK last June! After the wedding, Michael will follow Lorelei over to Europe where we will begin our married life together. We are so grateful for your prayers and support as we enter this new season of our lives!
