Michael and I first locked eyes at Planet Fitness, and after noticing this cute guy for a week, I finally got the courage to say something to him. One day while we were both working out, Michael walked up and sat down next to me to use a foam roller. I thought this was the perfect time to strike up a conversation. I asked him, “Oh does using a foam roller really work for soreness and back pain?” Little did Michael know, I had one at home and used it regularly. He proceeded to tell me how it works and, from there, the door was opened for us to start talking about our matching dogs, our love for hiking, and our enjoyment of food. From that moment forward, we spent every day together and quickly became best friends. And till this day we are inseperable and do everything and anything together.
It was a Wednesday night and Michael told me to pick whatever hike I wanted to go on the upcoming Saturday with our dogs. After looking through different hiking trails, I chose a longer one with beautiful scenery along the way. Even though it was a nine-mile hike, we hardly ever do the whole thing, so I figured we could go until we were tired and turn around. Wrong. Michael had Paige waiting at the top to take pictures of him proposing. Poor Paige had the hike this snowy trail by herself in the morning wearing tennis shoes and carrying a heavy camera! We got to the top and couldn't find a scenic area like the pictures shown online, so Michael trailed off to find a good better to take a family photo. He finally found a spot and told me to sit down facing the mountains with the dogs so he could take a picture from behind. I turned around to find him on one knee with a beautiful ring. After I said, "I do," he proceeded to tell me. “We have to find Paige, she is somewhere lost up on top of the mountain.” Perfect engagement full of laughs with some of my favorite people that I love so much, our doggies, and the mountains.
