Question

How do I get to the USNA Wedding Chapel?

Answer

The general public may walk in through the Visitors Access Center at Gate 1 or Gate 3 during visiting hours. All visitors 18 years of age or older must have a valid picture ID (i.e.: State issued REAL ID driver's license, student ID, or a government issued passport). Visitors under the age of 18 without a valid picture ID must be escorted by an adult with a valid form of identification. You will not be able to drive onto the base (unless you have a handicap placard in your name in the car). Use Annapolis public parking (garages or street) and walk in through Gate 1 or Gate 3. If you get lost, you should let the guards at the gate know that you are attending a wedding at the USNA Wedding Chapel so that they can direct you. Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please do your best to arrive at the ceremony between 3:30 PM and 3:45 PM. The USNA Chapel runs on a very tight schedule, and the wedding processional will begin promptly at 4:00 PM.

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Formal, please! Suits and cocktail dresses are welcome, as are tuxes and gowns.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes! Please feel free to bring your babies and children to our wedding.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

You will not be able to drive yourself on to the USNA base (where the chapel is located) unless you have an active military ID. You will have to walk on to the base and present your driver's license to the guard at the gate. You may be able to find street parking around the base, but the easiest option is to take an uber or lyft to the USNA base gate. However, there will be plenty of parking available at the reception location, should you choose to drive there.
