There are hotel and lodging options along the way. Look for hotels in towns such as Cascade Locks OR, White Salmon WA, Bingen WA, The Dalles OR. Please note if you stay on the Washington side of the Gorge there is a $4 toll both ways to cross to and from Hood River. Alternatively, it's a very scenic and peaceful 50-minute drive from Portland to Hood River. More affordable options may be staying in the PDX area and making the trip out for the day.
