Through the mutual love of theater, Michael and Lauren met at The Culture House, performing in and stage managing youth productions. It started as a friendship in 2009, bumping into each other in the hallways, meeting for coffee, or simply gossiping about the children they both loved to manage. It wasn't until the Summer of 2015 where feelings began to develop and their friendship grew into something more....

It was a master plan.... A secret photoshoot was scheduled for the couple, one they would typically do as a favor to a mutual friend. Unbeknownst to Lauren, Michael had flown to Nashville, Tennessee, bought a ring, and had set up the surprise with the help of the photographer. While they posed for the photos, Michael dropped to one knee and asked the question. To which Lauren responded: "Are you serious?" The photoshoot turned into an engagement session which lead to the second surprise of the couple's immediate family members surprising them with a party at their home. She said "Yes" btw.
