We're going to send invites in late May, or early June and we ask that you please RSVP by August 1. That way, we’ll have plenty of time to get everything ready for our guests. The sooner the better!
Because there’s no central wedding hotel or town in which everyone will stay, arranging a shuttle wasn’t feasible for us. We’ll ask that you and the individuals/groups that you’re with make sure you have a safe way to make your way to and from the wedding. Laura and Mike are happy to help figure this part out if helpful! There are several taxi companies in the area. We’re including those below, in case you want to pre-arrange travel. Note: There are no options for Uber / Lyft in this area, so don’t count on rideshare as an option. Plan accordingly! Yes! There will be signage directing you when you arrive.
We’re getting married at Laura’s family farm, the huge riding arena on top of the hill. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside and the reception will take place under a huge tent. If the weather stinks, we’ll move the ceremony under the tent and throw up some sides, so we stay dry. The farm is right next door, so you’ll be able to take a tour, if you want to check it out!
We’re going for “dressy casual” which the internet tells us is “in between casual and semi-formal attire. Think […] dressier than what you would wear to work, but not as formal as what you would wear to black-tie or formal events. We did some searching on the internet, and this felt right for what we're going for! The footing for the ceremony is grass and under the tent it’s a hard packed sand/gravel (horseback riding arena type thing). Plan your footwear accordingly. Block heels recommended for the ladies!
