If planning to spend the night/weekend, your best bet is AirBnB or VRBO. There aren't any actual hotels in or around town. Wakefield is about 25 minutes north from Rochester ,NH and an hour south of North Conway, NH. if looking for AirBnB look in Sanbornville/Wakefield/Wolfeboro as well as Acton, Maine.
