WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

College. Michael and Kristie first met in class at Cal Poly Pomona. We had History class in the morning then an accounting class right afterwards, which meant we started walking with each other to class. When Kristie found out that Michael was from the Bay Area, she asked him "Are you a Sacramento Kings fan?" From there we started studying together, and the rest is history..

Tofu House. Throughout the dating phase, we loved to go out to eat. One of our favorite spots was Tofu House! We went there so frequently that the staff recognized us and knew our orders -- they also hooked it up with the side dishes. On September 16, 2012, we had just got back from a trip to Vegas and Michael had asked Kristie to go on a drive. He took her to Tofu House (it was almost 11pm so it had already closed for the night) and officially asked her to be his girlfriend with a ring -- a promise ring!

Rooftop bar in Anaheim. It was a complete surprise. We were down in LA visiting Kristie's family. Little did she know that EVERYONE, her parents, family, friends had been in on this little secret for months. While in college, we had Annual passes to Disneyland and frequently went to the happiest place on earth. Disneyland holds a special place in our relationship, so Parkestry Rooftop bar was the perfect proposal location, as it overlooked both Disneyland and California Adventures. Michael had all our friends and family there, and even orchestrated a whole day of "unplanned events" the day of. We had lunch at aforementioned Tofu House and "ran into" our friends aka Operation Tofu. They then "wanted to play basketball" so that Michael could separate from Kristie and get ready in Anaheim. Operation Take Kristie included Kristie's friends who she planned to have "dinner" with, which was just a secret operation to take her to the venue so Michael could propose. It was the most magical day ever. ❤️
