Michael “Mikey” and Kristen technically first met when she waited on his table at Junie G’s, a restaurant in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. At that specific moment, she didn’t recognize him, but after he left, his name triggered a memory—Kristen realized she knew of him through mutual friends and acquaintances. A few months later, Mikey managed to get her phone number from a family friend, and they began officially talking. This happened right around the time the pandemic hit, which made it challenging to see each other since he was living in Wisconsin at the time. Despite the distance, they continued to communicate through text and phone calls. Finally, in the summer of 2020, Mikey returned to Pennsylvania for a few days, and they had their first official date. The chemistry was undeniable, and they bonded even more in person.
