Kansai International Airport

Kyoto has no direct airport. Hence, Kansai International Airport (KIX) located in Osaka will be the most convenient airport to land at for traveling to Kyoto, as it has direct access to trains and buses that go to Kyoto.

Train

Japan Railways

You will need to take a Japan Railways train and get off at Kyoto Station. From Osaka, the train ride to Kyoto takes approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. Please keep this in mind when booking your travel.
