We met in September 2017 at a country concert in our hometown – Tucson, AZ. Michael was serving in the US Navy and home on leave while I had begun work as a physical therapy tech that summer. We both grew up in Tucson and attended NAU for undergrad but our paths didn't cross beyond sharing one biology lab. We spent that whole evening and remaining week together, even met the parents! We had no idea that week would begin our forever, but we are so blessed it did.

We got engaged December 2020, two days before Christmas! We were celebrating at my moms and opening presents when I arrived to a final gift. Upon opening that gift I noticed by dad had joined us in the living room and Michael was asking me to stand up. A few short & sweet moments later he asked me to marry him in front of all the people I love most - including my grandparents who were joined on Facetime. The proposal was captured on video and will forever be the sweetest evening!
