We're getting married!

We were matched on Bumble, a dating site where the woman has to make the first move, on December 31, 2019. We had so much in common right from the start - Star Wars, baseball stadium visits, The New York Yankees, movies, our love for our families and not to forget our love for delicious food! We were supposed to have our first date in January 2020 but Kimm cancelled on Mike because she was visiting with her newest nephew at the time, Cane. Mike was all ready to go and Kimm will never live this down! We kept in touch through Bumble and had some good phone calls as well. Our first date was March 5, 2020 at Boulevard 25 in Manhasset right before the COVID 19 Pandemic set in. We clicked from the start and we were each other's pandemic bubble. It was actually a great way for us to get to know one another deeply. We spent time out in Mattituck, watching movies, cooking, and taking walks on the beach. The rest is history!

It was the second anniversary of our first date, Mike came out to Mattituck to visit Kimm carrying a beautiful bouquet of red roses. Kimm had just showered and was still sprucing up for the day. Mike immediately said - let's go for a walk on the beach - right now. Kimm was thinking - really?! but rallied as it was a gorgeous day and she loved spending time with Mike. The couple got to their local beach - Mike suggested a drive, even though the walk was 6 minutes - we were strolling along and Mike stopped Kimm and pointed to something in the sand 'Kimm, will you marry me?' Kimm turned to Mike who was down on one knee and said - this is for me?! She said yes - obviously! And the rest is history. [Mike had gone to the beach ahead of time to write the proposal in the sand and was worried it would be washed or blown away]
