Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP through the website. We need to know final numbers before the 20th of May 2023, but as soon as you know is preferred!

Question

How do the RSVPs work? I was invited to multiple parts of the day.

Answer

We are delighted to celebrate the whole day with absolutely everyone. We do have limited capacity for the reception/dinner sitting so unfortunately can't accommodate everyone for this part only. The ceremony, drinks reception and after party is open to all and everyone has been invited to all 3. If you can only make, or want to go to the afters, or can only make the ceremony and drinks reception that is totally fine, please come to as much of the day as you are able or want to. If you are not sure what parts you will attend yet, please just make a best guess, we can always change anything later.

Question

I am invited but my partner is not, what gives?

Answer

We have tried to accommodate as many people as possible, but do not have space for everyone unfortunately. If we have invited you, but not provided a +1 this is for seating/capacity reasons. If you do wish for your partner to come to the ceremony or afters, please reach out to us and let us know and we should be able to accommodate them.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal/cocktail attire. For example: suit and ties and cocktail dresses.

Question

Will the ceremony or reception be inside or outside?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be inside. We hope for sunshine and no rain BUT, given it's Ireland, always come prepared and bring a jacket and a brolly. There will be some light walking between venues.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking photos nearby in Temple bar and Stephen's green for an hour or so. We have arranged a space in a pub near the reception venue for this period. We invite all guests to make their own way over to Farrier & Drapier for a well earned pint. We will then meet you there before heading to Fallon and Byrne, which is just around the corner.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event (excluding immediate family) so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Where should guests park?

Answer

There is limited parking in Dublin city centre. If you are staying in a hotel in the city centre, everything should be within walking distance. The closest car park to Smock Alley is Q-Park Christchurch which is a 4 minute walk. This car park is also an 8 minute walk away from Fallon and Byrne. It is not a free car park. https://www.q-park.ie/en-gb/cities/dublin/christchurch/

Question

What if I have a dietary requirement?

Answer

Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements as soon as possible by emailing micknkimwedding@gmail.com

Question

Will there be transport between the ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

We will not be providing transport between the two venues as they are within walking distance from each other (10 minute walk). You are welcome to make your own transport arrangements if required.
