Their love story began in the most unexpected of places - a swipe right on a dating app. It was January 2021 when Keturah first came across Mike's profile, and little did she know that this simple gesture would change her life forever. Mike's first message to Keturah was different from the usual small talk. Instead of the typical "Hey, how are you?" he asked her what her top 5 favorite artists were. It sparked a conversation that flowed effortlessly, and she couldn't help but feel drawn to this man who showed genuine interest in getting to know her beyond just surface level small talk. Their first date was a memorable one - brunch at Eggspectation followed by a round of mini golf. But it wasn't the activities themselves that made the day special, it was the moments in between. Hours spent in Mike's car, laughing, sharing stories, and even creating a TikTok video together. They knew then that there was something truly special between them. From there, Mike and Keturah made it official in March 2021 and began spending a lot of time with each other. They started exploring numerous activities in the DMV, going to the gym together, and even painting and completing puzzles. As their relationship blossomed, they faced challenges together - from navigating career shifts to supporting each other through family illnesses. When Keturah's dad was diagnosed with cancer in 2022, Mike was her rock. He stood by her side, offering unwavering support and love, showing her the true meaning of partnership. In November of 2023, Mike put his master plan into action. He told Keturah that his company's Christmas party would be on December 16th, 2023. Like the curious person that she is, Keturah would not stop asking questions about the event while Mike dodged every single on of her questions. Eventually, Mike told Keturah that the party will be in Downtown Baltimore. Christmas is Keturah's FAVORITE holiday so of course she proposes to visit Christmas Village and do other Christmas activities during the day, book a hotel and get ready in the hotel and spend the weekend there. A week before the proposal, Mike tells Keturah that they can no longer go Downtown and spend the day doing Christmas themed activities. Instead, he says that he has to go run a football practice with his dad during the day and that they will just check in to the hotel prior to the party and drop their stuff off first. Proposal Day arrives! Mike heads to "practice" (aka their suite in the Four Seasons Hotel) and meets with a few of his family members to begin decorating the suite. Later that evening, Mike and Keturah head to the hotel to drop their belongings off before the "Christmas party" and right before the door opens, Keturah hears the song "All My Life" by K-Ci & JoJo begin to play. Then came the most magical moment of all - the proposal. As the door opens, Keturah sees her future brother-in-law with a camera, the room romantically decorated and the marquee sign "Marry Me" and immediately she drops all of her luggage, purse, and her shoes and begins sobbing with so much joy. Mike got down on one knee and asked her to be his forever. They celebrated over dinner at her favorite restaurant, Azumi, she knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be. An older couple was generous enough to buy them a bottle of champagne as they reminisced the beginning of their own love story. Mike and Keturah enjoyed their romantic night and eagerly await the day they become The Lynn's.
