If You Want to Explore Madison (About 20–30 Minutes Away) the Farmers Market is a must-do. Held Saturday mornings around the Capitol Square, this is the largest producer-only farmers’ market in the country. Grab fresh pastries, cheese curds, and coffee while soaking in the energy of downtown Madison.
A Madison classic. Sit by the lake, enjoy a beer or ice cream, and take in the views. Live music often plays outdoors on Friday nights.
The Harvey House – An upscale supper-club-inspired restaurant and our first date spot. Highly recommend for a special night out. Reservations encouraged. State Street – A lively stretch connecting the Capitol to campus, full of shops, bars, and casual dining options. King Street – A vibrant downtown block just off the Capitol Square known for its great restaurants, cocktail bars, and energetic nightlife. It’s an easy place to walk, grab dinner, and hop between spots, especially in the evenings and on weekends.
