Michael and I met in Brady, TX on September 14, 2019. I went out with a girl friend to the local sports bar, and Michael and his golf partner also happen to be there. Thanks to mutual friends and Michael saving me from a creep the introduction was made. Michael asked me for my number, but told me to wait to give it to him. The next day at the golf tournament that I was working as the beer girl he got my number on his score card. There was an instant connection from day one. Our first date was at the Anson Golf Tournament as well as most of our dates have been on a variety of golf courses. On June 12, 2020 Michael and I were visiting our parents in the panhandle, and after a round of golf he popped the question. It was an easy yes! Our world quickly got shaken up when we found out Michael would be getting a new assignment which potentially meant a move. We decided to get married on July 4, 2020, but thanks to Covid we didn't get to celebrate with any friends or family except my sister and our awesome officiant Kylie. I unfortunately learned that the military can change in an instant. Michael found out 3 days after we got married he would be deploying for 9 months. We have overcome a deployment and all the other changes that come with military life. Now we are ready to have our real wedding and celebrate with all of y'all!
