Is the wedding still happening?

Answer

Yes! As of now weddings are allowed in Texas with some restrictions. We will be staying up to date with the changes as the wedding day gets closer. We will make sure to comply with them so everyone is as safe as possible.

Is social distancing possible?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony will be held outdoors so there will be plenty of space to social distance. The venue for the reception is very large and can accommodate up to 700 people so we will be able to social distance within the restrictions.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 1st so we can have a more accurate number for the reception dinner. If you have missed this date that’s okay! RSVP anyway! Don’t let that stop you from coming and enjoying the party!

We would love for you to bring a plus one to share the day with us. Please let us know by RSVP or email so we can have a more accurate number for the reception dinner.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! They are welcome to celebrate! It is important to note that the venue has wildlife that can roam the grounds. For the children’s safety, it is required that parents have an adult supervise them outside the building.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Let us know at least a week before the wedding if you have any allergies so the chef can make any accommodations you need.

Is there a dress code?

You may dress as formal or casual as you like. It will be the middle of June and we want you to be as comfortable as possible!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The La Quinta by Wyndham Mathis is 10-15 minutes away from the venue. The address is 12909 IH-37, Mathis TX 78368

Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, the venue should have plenty of parking spots available.

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

Unfortunately there is no transportation from the hotel to the venue.

Does the wedding have a theme?

Answer

The theme for this wedding is southwestern. The main colors will be teal, red and gold.

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

The address is 313 County Road 351, Mathis, TX 78638. If you are having trouble here are some directions that may help: From I-37 take exit 40 toward Farm to Market Road 888 If you are coming from Woodsboro take a RIGHT onto FM 888 If you are coming from San Antonio take a LEFT onto FM 888 From FM 888 take a left onto FM 1040. There will be a small church on the left hand side. Go straight down FM 1080 for about 3 miles and you will see signs for the venue or the large gate entrance. Take a left and follow the path to the venue. You will be able to see a large red building. You made it!

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

The venue is TABC certified so this means they will be providing the alcohol. Any alcohol you bring cannot go into the building.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

The wedding will begin at 5:30 p.m. so please arrive before then.

Is the wedding location wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes! The venue is wheelchair accessible.

What kind of food/drinks will be served at the reception?

Answer

We are having barbecue of course! There will be brisket, sausage, chicken, rice, beans, bread and a spring salad with the option of ranch or honey mustard dressing. You won’t regret waiting for this meal! It’s amazing! We will be serving tea or water with the dinner. If you don’t want either, regular soft drinks are provided at the bar.

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian options for the dinner?

At the moment we do not have a vegan/vegetarian option. Please let us know at least a week before the wedding and we will see if one can be made for you.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes. Beer, wine, margaritas and soft drinks will be served for free. Any other alcoholic drinks will have to be paid for.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Absolutely! Go crazy!

May I take a centerpiece home as a souvenir?

Answer

Yes please do! We will not have the space for all those centerpieces after the wedding. This will help us out!
