Michael and Kailee met online through the dating app, Bumble. Kailee was recommended to use the app by her sister, Natalie, who found her husband through it. Michael was brought to Bumble by his decision to try every dating app and heard the good odds Bumble brought for matches. Michael stumbled upon Kailee's profile while visiting his parents. He saw that she was 35 miles away from where his parents lived, thought she was cute, and decided to shoot his shot. Kailee saw Michael had swiped right, and liked that he had shared his Catholic faith and passion for mental health on his profile. She saw the distance and figured if it was meant to be, the distance would figure itself out. So, she swiped right as well. The rest, as they say, is history. Michael and Kailee talked online for about a week before meeting in person at the Elgin Public House, a halfway point for the two of them.
