It all started in 2021. Well, sort of. Kaila was attending the Young Adult Retreat at Camp CoBeAc in the Fall of 2021 when Michael first noticed her. And he would continue to see her at these retreats for a few years before she finally noticed him. On October 4, 2024 at the Fall Young Adult Retreat, they officially met on the pickleball courts near Camp CoBeAc! Within a week, they each had told their parents they found the one they were going to marry. Let's just say...When you know, you know! Fast forward about six months of long drives and late nights (ya know, that whole long distance thing) and Kaila found herself back at Camp CoBeAc for the Spring Ladies Retreat. It was here that Michael surprised her (I mean, like really surprised her) and dropped to a knee and asked her to marry him. And of course, she said "yes!" They know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has brought them together and they are so excited for the future that God has planned for them.
