How we met

Late lunches and long bombs

We actually met the new age way of online dating. We talked for a few months before deciding to meet for a late lunch and a little putter shopping. Of course Michael showed up a tad bit late because of "work." He was actually on the golf course finishing his round of golf so ended up getting to lunch about a half hour late. We had a wonderful lunch and hit it off immediately. From there we headed to the golf store to pick out a new putter for Juliene. After watching her for a minute Michael gave her a quick putting lesson and they had a little putting match. On the last hole of the match Juliene dropped a 50 foot putt from out of nowhere, which happened to be from the middle of the clothing racks, and from that very moment Michael knew he had himself someone special. We agreed on a second date and the rest is history.

The Proposal

3/25/21

It was our 3 year anniversary! I came home from work to Michael kissing me and handing me a glass of wine. He was in the middle of cooking us a yummy smelling steak dinner. I heard the kids upstairs and was pleasantly surprised because they were suppose to be at their dads that night. I told Michael I was gonna go say hi before their dad got them! As I started up the stairs I was led by red rose petals. ( in my mind I was thinking it was leading me to a romantic bubble bath) When I opened my bedroom door the kids were sitting on my bed holding signs that read Happy Anniversary, they each had a dozen roses in their hands as well. There was a heart made out of rose petals with a third dozen rose and a card in the center. As I turned around to smile at Michael he was beaming and I noticed the signs flip out of the corner. I turned back around and read "WILL YOU MARRY ME?" I was in pure shock it took me what seemed like a full minute to register what was happening. I think I screamed what, as I whipped around to see Michael down on one knee. He very simply asked "WILL YOU MARRY ME? I screamed YES! We hugged, I screamed, we kissed, I screamed some more! We all hugged and I cried!
