We are have worked with two hotels in the city to get a block of rooms for wedding guests. Check the "Travel" page for details! That being said, you are of course welcome to stay wherever you would like to, and we will not have any wedding events at the hotel (so you aren't missing out!).
The subway is convenient for those getting up and down Broadway, and connects the entire city pretty well (Google maps/Apple maps tend to work well for timing the subway). Uber and taxis (as well as other rideshare apps) are an easy option and readily available across the city.
It is a 10 minute walk straight down Amsterdam Avenue! For those who may be unable to walk that distance, rideshare apps are an easy option for (nearly) door to door travel. There will be a brief gap in scheduled events for guests from around 3:30 to 4:00 that can be used to get to Amity Hall Uptown.
The dress code is formal. This can be vague, so we recommend using this website if you’d like more guidance (the website is technically for a semi-formal dress code, but the example attire would be appropriate for our dress code): https://greenweddingshoes.com/semi-formal-wedding-attire/. As an additional resource for women, we suggest a level of formality that would feel in place in the lineup of dresses found on this website: https://www.dressforthewedding.com/summer-wedding-guest-dresses/. And finally, don’t worry too much! The dress code is broad, and the definitions for different dress codes vary depending on the source. We expect a range of interpretations, and that’s ok. It’s a celebration, and everyone will look wonderful!
Gifts are welcome but by no means expected. We also have multiple cash funds set up. If would like to donate to one of these, send a gift, or bring a gift, see the "Registry" page.
