Our Love Story

#ThePerfectMatch

We matched on Tinder in December of 2021 and decided to meet up for a date. Michael drove to Warsaw from south bend to take me to see Christmas lights then dinner at texas roadhouse. The whole time Michael was being extra chatty because I literally could not speak correctly (kept stuttering and messing up words I was so nervous). We went back to my house and talked and laughed ALL night long like until 3am. My cheeks hurt from smiling so much, even though I had embarrassed myself all night long sounding illiterate. Neither of us wanted anything serious as we both had just gotten out of relationships but we kept talking every night and hanging out on the weekends until a month later we both finally admitted our feelings for each other and started dating. We dated for about 3 months when I finally got to meet his son Grayson, I very quickly fell in love with both my boys and they have been stuck with me ever since.

The Proposal

October 13, 2024

Jozie had set up a photography session with a really cute old-style truck for some couple's pictures. Unbeknownst to Jozie, Michael had messaged the photographer to ask if it would be okay to do the surprise proposal. The day of the photos Michael seemed really antsy to have our photos done which is weird because he's not a huge fan of photos. The forecast was calling for rain, but Michael insisted we go ahead and do the pictures. We were being posed for a photo where the photographer had us back-to-back, she then gave Michael the signal, as soon as he got down on one knee the rain finally broke loose and started coming down. The photographer told Jozie to turn around and face Michael when she did, she gave Michael a really weird look like why are you on the ground, it took a solid minute for her to figure out that Michael was proposing and gave a face that has since been named the "Muppet" face. Neither one of them remember exactly what Michael said or if Jozie ever actually said the word yes, but the answer was obvious no words needed to be said. Michael successfully pulled off the surprise with Jozie having no idea what he was going to do!
