The dress code is Semi-Formal Beach Wedding Attire Semi-formal or cocktail beach wedding attire for women calls for dresses, suits, or jumpsuits. (Feel free to include prints, avoiding anything too loud or any style that might clash with the venue.) If you choose to wear a beachy dress, specifically, consider a tea-length or maxi look to avoid looking too casual. Not sure what shoes to wear? Dressy sandals, chunky heels, and wedges are acceptable footwear options. As for men, while a jacket isn’t required, a breathable sports coat or unique blazer is a fun choice. Additionally, don't be afraid to include prints, but avoid anything too loud that would take the attention away from the couple. On the shoe front, your footwear can be a little more casual, but they absolutely must be a close-toe option, such as a loafer or deck shoe. Again, shorts and sandals are not permitted.
No, you do not need your passport. Carnival allows guests to sail with a birth certificate and state-issued ID.
Yes! Kids are welcome aboard with us. Carnival has a couple of programs: Camp Ocean for children 2-11, Circle C for kids 12-14, and Club O2 for kids 15-17. All of these programs have heavy security and are completely free until 10 p.m. After that, they have a program called Night Owls for parents who want to enjoy a late night to themselves until 1 a.m. for an additional fee.
Your presence at our wedding is present enough!
Yes, food and drink are included. The Lido buffet is open 3-4 times a day, and there are other restaurants that are completely free. Free beverages are lemonade, water, soda, and tea. However, there are also places to eat that are free the first time and about 8 dollars a person if you choose to go again.
The drink package is an additional package you can purchase along with the cruise. You can purchase it up to 11:59 p.m. the day before we leave. This package includes 15 drinks per 24-hour period (shots or cocktails). We recommend it if you plan on getting eight or more mixed drinks throughout the day. We recommend getting there the day before to minimize stress, avoid potential travel delays, and ensure you have ample time to check in, clear security, and explore the ship before your sailing departure, allowing for a smoother start to your vacation without rushing. We're getting an Airbnb about 15-20 minutes away from the port with a lot of space and places to sleep to accommodate our guests the night before. With that being said, we have caught a really early flight and arrived in enough time to get to the port with no issues. Please keep us updated with what you decide to do.
Carnival gives guests a sailing card, which you can use for purchases on board and to open your stateroom door. You can load money directly onto this card and use it throughout the ship. You can also use cash in the casino or use it to personally tip the crew. I also recommend cash when you disembark to buy items on the island. Carnival also takes a gratuity fee off of your sail card, and this gets split up between the crew, but you have the option to take it off at guest services if you plan on tipping in cash.
