Our initial interactions were via an online dating service. We officially first met in person at Karl Strauss Brewing in 4S Ranch in San Diego and frequently return to that location to enjoy the good food and beer!

Mike popped the question on a trip to Maui in November 2020. He proposed on the balcony of their private condo overlooking Ka’anaapli Beach and Black Rock in Maui, HI!

• One of our favorite things to do together is travel. We have traveled around the US, and visited various countries in Europe and Asia. We are eager to make our list of places traveled to grow as we continue to embark on adventures and create great memories around the world! • We really enjoy wine tasting together. We especially enjoy the time we spend together talking about life, love, the future, and other topics over wonderful tasting wine and beautiful vineyard views. We have visited wineries all up and down California and find that our favorite wines come from the Central Coast regions of the state. • A more recent enjoyment of ours is playing with and caring for our puppy Beignet! We got her during the pandemic when she was 8 weeks old and fit in the palm of Michael’s hand! She is a ball of energy and a joy in our lives. We also enjoy game nights with friends and family. It is very common to play board games or card games when we get together with our family and friends. Winding down the end of a long day watching a movie and cuddling with our puppy Beignet. Mike enjoys cooking and trying out new dishes for Janaya and him to enjoy at home. He knows the sign of a good dish is when Janaya goes in for seconds!

We love to visit Hawaii and have an absolutely wonderful experience each time we visit. However, we always love traveling somewhere new and adventurous!
