We met on Bumble, like all great love stories of our generation. One swipe, one date, and suddenly here we are!

Jade: Our second date at Revel & Roll in Ann Arbor stands out. I was nervous—it had been a couple of weeks since our first date—but the moment we saw each other, it felt easy and fun again. We’re both pretty competitive, so the bowling got serious. When Michael finished his last frame, and as I walked up, I looked at him and said, “Time to put the nail in the coffin.” I rolled the ball straight down the lane—strike. Game over, I won! Michael couldn’t believe it, and I felt pretty cool. Afterwards, I was able to meet Kenzie (Michael's rescue greyhound) & overall it was such a fun date! Michael: For me, it has to be the infamous Birthday Bashing of 2022. Jade and I were out and about celebrating her birthday. I saw an X Golf and said, "Hey, let's go hit some balls." Jade was reluctant, but she was swinging away in no time. I stepped in to give her a few tips, and before you could say "Okay, let me back away," she let go with a monster drive and struck me right in the dimple. We got to have a nice drive to the hospital, I got stitches, and it was a date that will always stick with me.

Jade: One of my favorite things is when Michael and I are all cuddled up with low lighting, just reading or playing a video game. We’re not necessarily doing much—but just being near each other is the best part. I also love a good movie night in. Pro tip: stop and grab popcorn from the actual movie theater on the way home. It instantly takes the night to a 10. Michael: I was happy Jade got us all into playing pickleball. I have enjoyed playing it with her and my family. I also can't complain about how well she throws a movie night!

Jade: We’ve been lucky to take so many memorable trips together—Cincinnati, Chicago, West Branch, Port Austin, Phoenix, Anaheim, Laguna Beach, Petoskey. Each one has its own little story, but two really stand out. The first is Cincinnati—our very first trip together and it is the place where we got engaged! And then there’s Laguna Beach (no surprise to anyone who knows me). It was a dream destination from my childhood, and being there with Michael made it feel even more magical. Fun fact: Early on, when we were dating, I told Michael how much I wanted to go to California one day. He said, “Well, I’ll take you to California .” And he did! 🥹 Michael: I would say when we did NYE up at my family's cabin. When the two of us are just hanging out and spending quality time together, staring at the snow. I always enjoy when we do our polar plunge creek dips on January first. I love that we were able to create a tradition for the two of us.
