El Peñón de Guatapé
This is one of the most wonderful places you can visit during your stay in Medellin. It is around 2 hours away from Medellin but it is worth it. It’s a most see, it does required a full day. Search in google this place and click on images and decide for yourself.
Parque Explora
It’s the biggest aquarium in South America. There is alot to see in there, for those who love fish life.
Pueblito Paisa
This is a most see in the city of Medellin. This is in a little mountain in the middle of the city where you can see a traditional paisa town of Colombia on the top.
Parque Lleras
This area is know for their good restaurants and bars. Very good night life.
Parque Arvi
Parque Arvi is a Reserve Natural park. Beautiful were you can see yourself walking in a Colombian forest. How to get there? It’s very easy because public transportation takes you there. Take the Metro to Acevedo station then transfer to take the Metrocable (cable car) Line K to Santo Domingo and there transfer to Line L.

This takes you through streets full of graffiti art, talented individuals showing their dancing and rapping skills. Full of energetic, happy people where they will make you feel welcomed.
Hacienda Napoles
This is for people that are interested in Pablo's Escobar history. This is his famous Hacienda where he built his own private zoo, bringing exotic animals from all over the world. This is now a resort where you can stay and enjoy the zoo as well as water parks and other activities. This is about a 3 to a 4 hour car drive from Medellin.
San Felix Paragliding Club
If you feel like doing extreme activities this is one of them. Paragliding is very popular in Colombia because of it’s mountains and in Medellin is no exception. So enjoy this event if you are interested.
Cascada Salto Del Buey
This is another extreme activity that you can do near Medellin. This is Zip lining from a mountain to another mountain.
