Question

Will there be transportation to and from the hotel, to and from the church ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We have booked two buses to transport guests from the JW Marriott to Old St. Pat's Church for the ceremony. The shuttles will begin loading guests at 2:20pm outside of the hotel lobby. The buses will depart for Old St. Pat’s by 2:35pm. Post-ceremony, the buses will be outside the church to shuttle guests back to the JW Marriott for our cocktail reception.

Is there parking at Old St. Pat's Church during the ceremony?

Is there parking at the JW Marriott?

Answer

Over the wedding weekend (4/22 - 4/23) there is valet parking available at the hotel, cost breakdown below. On the day of the wedding only, Saturday 4/23, parking within 0-10 hours will be complimentary and covered by the bride's family. You will pickup a parking voucher on display during the reception to present to the valet upon leaving. Anything over 10 hours on April 23rd, Friday April 22nd or overnight, is subject to hotel valet pricing/guest responsibility, which is as follows: 0-3 hours = $31, 3-10 hours = $36, 10-24 hours = $74.

What does black tie optional mean?

Answer

For Gentlemen: Both tuxedos and suits are welcome! For Ladies: Both long or short dresses, pants, jumpsuits are all welcome!

Where will the ceremony & reception be taking place? Is it indoors?

Answer

The ceremony, on April 23rd, will be taking place at Old St. Pat's Church at 3:00PM and our reception will be taking place at the JW Marriott Hotel, with cocktail (90 Minutes) "hour" beginning at 5:00PM. Both the ceremony and reception will take place indoors; we do not have any events taking place outdoors.

Are there any other events planned during wedding weekend (for non-wedding party members)?

Answer

We do not have any other events planned during wedding weekend other than our ceremony and reception, taking place on 4/23, for non-wedding party members. We hope you enjoy the beautiful city of Chicago during your stay and if you are staying at the hotel, we hope to see you around the lobby lounge bar over the course of the weekend!

When is the last day to secure a hotel room at the $169/night wedding block rate?

Answer

All guests planning to stay at the hotel have until APRIL 1st to reserve their room at the special wedding block rate of $169/night. You may still be able to book a room beyond April 1st, however the wedding block rate will no longer be applicable and you will be subject to regular hotel pricing for this time period. The last day to book a room is 3/31 through midnight.

Is there an alternative meal option for those who don't eat meat or fish?

Answer

If you're unable to eat meat or fish due to dietary restrictions, please indicate on your RSVP card or let Geena or Mike know and we can accommodate a special request with the hotel for your meal. This information is due no later than April 1st if needed.
