Flight
This is the airport you will be flying into. Uvita is a 3 hour drive south from the airport, so we recommend renting a car. *There is a bus option for those who don't wish to rent but the trek is much longer. Click on the link below when you're ready to purchase your tickets. We found it to be the cheapest of the booking sites. Keep checking for rate changes.
Hotel
This place is a short distance (5 minute drive) from where the reception will be. It's a quant, affordable place for everyone to stay and is centrally located in Uvita. We stayed here on our visit to Uvita and we loved it. We have arranged a block of rooms here. Be sure to mention the Rakoff-Aguirre wedding if/when making your reservations.
House Or Rental
This place is also a short distance (5 minute drive) from where the reception will be. It is a more upscale place to stay for people wanting a little more luxury. There is a pool and restaurant for dinner and swimming. We came here on our 1st anniversary (pictured above) and found it to be lovely.
Rental Car
Car rental tips: You will be required to purchase government-mandated liability insurance, which will increase your daily rate. However, the rental agency will also try to get you to purchase additional collision insurance - which is not required. To avoid this extra cost, make sure that you book your car rental with a credit card that provides collision insurance. You will not need an SUV but we do recommend at least a mid-size car, as some of the steeper hills will be hard to make it up cleanly with a compact car. If you have any questions about renting a car, feel free to email Lauri at laurilebo@gmail.com.
