Henry Pittock was 19 when he headed west on the Oregon Trail to seek his fortune in 1853. Now his elaborate estate is preserved as a hilltop museum. Don't want to pay for the entrance fee? No Problem! You can still walk around the grounds for free for a great view of downtown Portland.

Moulton Falls Trail is a charming out-and-back hike along the Lewis River. The trail crosses a picturesque footbridge and then follows the Lewis River with the river to the right and a mossy cliff to the left. The wide hard-surfaced trail is mostly flat, making this a perfect year round hike for people of all ages.
