Yes it is! You will receive a wristband at your arrival which is good for all food, alcohol, drinks, and treats. This includes 24/7 room service, buffet dinners and restaurants at the resort and even the pizzeria and cupcake shop! Drinks are available pool-side and at the swim up bar as well!
You can, however, we do recommend looking into booking on the FunJet group page. They have already found the best deals and they make it easy to book through their website. Plus, you don't have to pay upfront! You can deter your payment which gives you time to save up! We paid a small down payment and won't have to pay for our trip until September. We also suggest utilizing our travel agent, Linda Prewitt, for the following reasons: Booking through one central agent with knowledge of our wedding plans and venue will help provide peace of mind and the ability to contact one person for all of your questions and concerns. Whatever way you choose to book, please let us know what name your reservation is under, how many are attending, and your arrival and departure dayes so we can include you as guests.
Not necessarily. We would really like to spend our time with you and the best way to do that is to stay at the same resort. However, we realize some people have reward points at other resorts. Our resort does require that 80% of our guests stay at the resort, but we can work things out! ** Just know that in order to attend our wedding you will need to buy a day pass. Day Passes are $100/adult or $50/child.
Yes. We highly suggest scheduling a shuttle for the days you are arriving and leaving Cabo. This can be done through our FunJet group page or through our travel agent. Taxis and Uber are available, but we have found that scheduling a shuttle is the most reliable way to get to the airport on time.
Pro tip: Bring cash with you. The dollar is accepted mostly everywhere and is preferred in most cases. You can exchange your cash for pesos, but you will get your best rate at an area bank, not the airport. We recommend having some cash on you for souvenirs in town and for taxis. The exchange rate usually runs $17-19 pesos to $1 USD. You can check it online before you depart the U.S. When purchasing goods in Mexico, you can almost always play "let's make a deal" in the stores downtown. You can use your debit/credit card at most restaurants as well, but make sure you notify your bank prior to leaving that you will be traveling internationally and where you will be using your card.
While all Mexican travel comes with some risk, in Cabo some of your biggest concerns will be 'should I just lay poolside or do a fun excursion?' and 'should we really eat tacos again tonight?'. As always, when traveling abroad, be cautious and mindful. Do not travel alone late at night and utilize the concierge service available at the hotel. The walk to the marina and downtown are safe but taxis are available for those that want it. We feel safe each time we visit Mexico and want you to feel the same way!
Yup! We would love to have your children with us. However, we will leave that up to you. Perhaps you just want an adult-only getaway - we are fine with whatever decision you make! There is a Kids Club available at the resort with fun things for them to do. There's also daily entertainment and a pool geared towards family.
November is the best month for weather! Both the wedding and reception will be held outdoors. Expect warmer weather Average temperatures in November are 87°F during the day and 68°F at night. Crossing our fingers for no light rain at all during the week!
Passport, passport, passport! Keep it (and your white customs slip to return home) on you the whole trip. After that... sunscreen, a bathing suit (or 5), phone charger, camera, hat, good vibes only, and flip flops. Danielle has a great suggestion for a thin, packable pool floatie you can bring for the pool or beach. Ask her!
Most resorts in Cabo only serve bottled or purified water and use safe ice for mixed drinks. If you go into town and you do get ice in your drink, make sure it is coming out of a bag. We have not had an issue with a restaurant downtown yet. Stocking up on some water bottles for your room would be helpful. You can purchase waters at any convenience store near or at the resort. The food at the resort and at downtown restaurant are fantastic and we have not had an issue with any of the restaurants. I would suggest bringing Imodium incase you have a sensitive traveling stomach.
Unfortunately, the ocean is not swimmable at the resort. The water gets very deep, very quickly and the currents are strong. However there are lots of pools on-site for swimming and fun excursions you can look inot for great snorkeling and swimming.
YES! While the resort offers great pools, lounging by the beach, Kids Clubs, pool sports and activities there is plenty to do in town as well. Check out the "Things To Do" page for a lot of suggestions!
You can book excursions right at the resort. You can also take the 5-minute walk downhill to the marina where you can book a fun excursion without any timeshare presentations. They offer snorkeling tours, sunset cruises, glass-bottom boat tours, dolphin experiences, ATVs, parasailing, jet skis and much more!
Beach attire! No need to be formal - the ceremony will take place on the beach while the reception will be on the rooftop. A light jacket may be needed at night but feel free to wear sandals or go barefoot on the beach!
