Daniella and Michael grew up on the same street and both attended Pope John Paul II High School. They did not see each other for over a decade, but after an inspiration that could only be Providential, Daniella asked her brother Luke to reach out and to connect them since he is friends with some of Michael's family members. Thankfully, Luke was willing to help and reached out to Michael's sister-in-law Veronica to get Michael's contact information and her input on how they might be able to connect. Veronica suggested tennis and Luke invited Michael to come over to the family court to play. On January 8, 2022 at 10 am, Michael came to the Palmiotto tennis court. Daniella hadn't played tennis in about a year and hadn't played consistently since her college tennis days, but hoped for the best while playing with Luke's tennis racket and her running shoes. The morning had almost been canceled because the Palmiottos minus Daniella had a bout of COVID, but Michael wasn't phased by the risk. Despite being sick, Luke played one tiebreaker before Daniella and Michael played and talked for the rest of the afternoon. Their 14-year game of hide and seek ended and they realized that they shared the same views and most especially, they both desired a relationship with God at its core. After 1 month and 1 week of spending all non-sleeping and non-working hours together and entering into the routine of daily Mass and weekly Confession, Michael proposed to Daniella at St. Joan of Arc during Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament. May 14 was chosen as the wedding date in honor of Our Lady of Fatima who appeared for the first time to three children in Portugal on May 13, 1917. This experience is a reminder to both Daniella and Michael that God's will is always best and a surrendered heart leads to the greatest joy. Thanks be to God (and Luke and Veronica) that Daniella and Michael's paths reconnected. They look forward to celebrating their wedding with you!
