Evening Elegance with a Twist! Modern Formal: Blues & Blooms (but not black tie) - think elevated, stylish, and expressive. We're celebrating in October, but we're steering away from traditional fall tones. Instead, channel cool, vibrant hues - dusty blues, soft greens, subtle jewel tones, and romantic florals. Feel free to skip autumn colors like burnt orange, maroon, and rust.
Guests should arrive during the 30-minute welcome window starting at 5pm. The ceremony will begin promptly afterward, followed by cocktails, dinner, and dancing! Full schedule details are available under the “Schedule” tab.
As you arrive at Belle Haven, you’ll pass through a small security checkpoint. Just let the guard know you’re attending our wedding. Parking can be limited, so we strongly recommend using the free valet service at the main clubhouse entrance. Car services are also a great option and convenient. The main clubhouse is at the top of the hill. The first building on the left is the fitness center – keep driving to the top. Valet will be waiting out front or just park in any open parking spot. Walk in the main entrance of the club!
We didn’t designate a preferred hotel because we wanted guests to have flexibility in choosing what fits best for their trip. We’ve listed a few lodging suggestions under the “Lodging” tab. Two are in the historic Old Town Alexandria area — charming, walkable, and full of restaurants, bars, and shops. Very convenient if you are looking to explore outside of the wedding. The Hampton Inn & Suites is more traditional and commercial in setting, but it's just a short, 5-minute walk to the venue - super convenient if you're looking for "adjacent like" proximity to Belle Haven! Old Town also has plenty of additional hotel and Airbnb options if you’d like to explore further.
We’d love for you to be fully present with us during the ceremony - so we’re kindly asking for an unplugged ceremony. Don’t worry, our photographer will capture it all!
We won’t be providing transportation, but Uber/Lyft are easy and reliable options in the area.
We're doing things a little differently - no formal three course dinner, no assigned seats. Instead, enjoy a variety of chef-curated small plates served at roaming food stations throughout the evening. Think delicious flavors, beautiful presentation, and bites made for mingling. Grab a cocktail, circle up with friends (or make new ones!), hit the dance floor, and come back for more. This night is about celebration, connection, and great food & drinks!
We want all our guests to feel comfortable and well-fed! If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly so we can make arrangements. There will be gluten-free options during both the cocktail hour and main meal. In addition to beef, chicken and fish, we’ll also be offering a vegetarian pasta option for those who prefer a meat-free dish. Let us know in advance, and we’ll make sure you’re well taken care of!
We love your little ones — but this will be an adults-only celebration. Please take the night off and enjoy!
