As most love stories these days begin, they both swiped right on Tinder. However, after they matched Michael sent a lovely message that would woo any women, but was met with resistance from "independent Colleen". She had decided not to respond to Mike's advances and instead ignored him for nearly 4 months. Colleen, urged by her friends decided to reach out to Mike and see if he was available to chat. Like any man not in a relationship, he was intrigued by the fact she was interested in him at all and met for a drink. After nearly 4 dates the relationship was at a crossroads. At the end of the 4th date, Mike mentioned he was deserving of at least a peck on the cheek. Taken back, Colleen gave him the big eyed teacher look, then caved and gave him a kiss. After that bridge was crossed the couple became inseparable. Independent Colleen was gone, along with Mike's freedom. What started as a quick swipe, numerous dates, moving in, they decided it was time to start their lives together as one.
After Mike picked up the ring, in all the excitement he went to show both their parents, then headed home, before doing so both mom's joked about how Mike wouldn't be able to hold onto the ring for very long. On his way home he decided tonight was going to be the night. Before entering the house he gave himself a quick pep-talk and was ready to propose when he walked in. Upon walking in he realized Colleen was upstairs reading and decided to hold off and play it cool. As he was walking up the stairs in his pocket where the ring was safely hidden he felt this burning sensation. He began to sweat (although not uncommon for him) and knew he needed to propose ASAP. He came over to Colleen with a creepy look on his face, got down on one knee and proposed. Colleen reacted with shock and confusion at first, but then it hit her that this was real and said “YES”.
We are so excited to share this next chapter in our lives with you on June 29 at Seven Bridges. We hope to see you there! C & M
