Things To Do

Local Favorites in Ridgway Orvis Hot Springs: A beautifully landscaped, natural hot spring resort. (Note: this is a clothing-optional resort). Ridgway Railroad Museum: A must-visit for history buffs, featuring restored "Galloping Goose" railcars that once navigated these rugged mountains. Ridgway Area Trails (RAT): If you brought your mountain bike or hiking boots, this trail system offers everything.. Ouray (15 mins South) Box Canyon Falls: A short, easy walk leads you into a dramatic canyon where a waterfall thunders down 285 feet. It’s a spectacular photo op! Ouray Hot Springs Pool: A family-friendly, sulfur-free (no "egg" smell!) soaking pool. Cascade Falls: A quick, slightly steep 5-minute hike takes you right to the base of the falls seen from downtown Ouray. Pro Tip: The Scenic Drive If you have extra time, drive 10 minutes south of Ouray onto the Million Dollar Highway (Hwy 550).
