Things To Do
Monticello is a quiet, quaint hillside village with winding streets & beautiful views. This is where Clara's grandmother grew up. There is one small grocery store where you can find basics & simple staples. The village also has a small hotel with a restaurant, perfect for a coffee or a nice meal. LADIES: Expect a lot of uphill walking (pack shoes accordingly).
Île Rousse is the closest town, about a 7 - 10 minute drive away, and where things feel more lively. Along the way, you’ll find hotels, restaurants, & a larger supermarket for groceries, any necessities, coffee, pastries, or lunch. In town, there are beach shops, cute boutiques, a daily open-air market in the mornings, cafés, restaurants, plus the closest beach and port.
Nearby beaches include Plage d’Île Rousse, Bodri, Lozari and Plage de Ghjunchitu.
Corsican cuisine is simple & seasonal, with fresh seafood, cheeses, charcuterie, produce, and local wine. Restaurant recommendations will be shared in Airbnbs.
