What time can we arrive from?

Answer

3:00pm 14th October 2024. In the event you arrive before 2:30pm staff will redirect you to a cafe in the local village.

What time is check-out if staying in the castle?

Answer

Check-out is at 11 am however, guests are welcome to enjoy the grounds and castle until 1pm 15th October 2024.

I am staying locally, is their transport available?

Answer

Yes, the concierge at Bellingham Castle will arrange taxis if required.

Is Bellingham Castle accessible?

Answer

Yes Bellingham Castle is fully accessible, in the event you require any support, please contact the staff.

Is breakfast provided?

Answer

Yes, any guests staying in the castle will have breakfast provided between 9am - 11am.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

The biggest gift to us is your support and presence at our wedding, please do not feel obligated to give anything else. However should you feel inclined we are looking forward to a honeymoon and any contribution to that would be sincerely appreciated. If you wish to give us a card, a secure postbox will be available in the foyer of the Castle.

Will there be time to get ready at the Castle before the ceremony?

No, please arrive dressed to impress.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Dress to impress! No trainers, no scrappers! No white dresses ladies! (So I don't have to hear about it for the rest of my entire life!-Michael)

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are aiming for outdoors, but conscious of the famous Irish weather, it may be relocated to inside. Guests will be informed on the day.

Are children invited to the wedding?

Answer

We have a small number of junior guests attending the wedding however due to number restrictions, it will be difficult to accommodate everyone's wider families. Therefore only the guests named on the wedding invitations attend on the day.

What food will be served on the day?

Answer

A selection of hot and cold canapés will be served after the wedding ceremony. A six course meal will be provided for dinner. A buffet will be served later in the evening. The Buttery kitchen will be available all day for tea, coffee and snacks. Breakfast will be provided the following morning for those guests staying over. In the event you have any dietary restrictions, please speak to staff on the day, or include information within your RSVP.

Can I bring my own alcohol to the venue?

Answer

No. We strongly request that guests do not bring alcohol onto the premises, drinks will be provided throughout the afternoon and the bar will be open and available until 4am. Please note that the bridal couple will be fined excessively by Bellingham Castle if alcohol is brought onto the premises.

Can I post photos on social media?

Answer

Yes! We would love to see your photos of our special day, however we would ask that photos aren't posted until after the bride and groom create their first social media post.

Can I take photos of the ceremony?

Answer

No, we kindly ask guests to have an unplugged ceremony with us and refrain from taking photos until the reception. We have professionals in attendance who will make sure the moment is captured for everyone.

We would appreciate if all RSVPs could be sent by September 8th.

Is there accommodation nearby?

Answer

Yes. The Fairways Hotel is offering discounted rates to folks joining our wedding day. Please quote the 'Johnston Mulholland Wedding' for the discounted rate. Alternatively there are a number of AirBnBs in the local village Castlebellingham.
