This unique retreat boasts a storied only-in-California history: formerly a miner’s camp, a Pony Express lodge, a homestead, and an experimental winery. It’s now a cozy bed & breakfast that embraces the area’s natural beauty and wild spirit. Nestled at the base of the soaring Sierra Nevadas, the property encompasses 67 acres of ancient oaks, creeks that run year-round, historic barns, and sprawling meadows. It is a working farm with chickens, ducks, cats and goats free ranging on the property and a few working dogs as well. For this reason, no pets are allowed to attend. We recommend that all guests wear comfortable shoes for walking outside on sloping gravel roads and grass. Be cognizant of mobility concerns as there are some moderate uphill climbs to navigate. Flat or low-heeled shoes are very highly recommended. Dress in or bring layers of clothing. A small group campground is available to us for a small fee. See other FAQ below. If you do want to take advantage of that, please contact Michael or Christine. While the volume will be slightly lower at 10pm, there is no “lights out” time—we'll be partying way past our bedtime. https://www.theranchatstoneycreek.com/gallery

For the safety of all our guests and the threat of fires, smoking is taken very seriously at the venue. All smoking must be contained in the designated smoking area (circular stone driveway in front of the red barns). This includes cigarettes, cannabis, vapes, etc. Please dispose of all by-products in the provided garbage containers. Smoking in any other areas at The Ranch is strictly forbidden. Failure to adhere to these restrictions will result in us being fined $500.
You can bring your own tent and sleeping gear or bring a trailer up to 26' or a motorhome up to 30'. They do not have hookups, but there are 2 restrooms and 2 outdoor showers available for campers. The cost is $30 per person per night (pay to us).
