Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Michael McIntyre and Chelsea Affleck
Mendocino County is home to 11 diverse Native American Tribes who continue to care for this beautiful place as they have since the beginning of time. We acknowledge the Northern Pomo, Coastal Pomo, Cahto, and Yuki Peoples as the original caretakers of these lands who represent an essential heritage in the region. In acknowledgment of this heritage, let's work to protect this extraordinary place by practicing respectful, conscientious, and sustainable travel and tourism. Learn more about the Tribes in Mendocino County here: https://bit.ly/4diEGP5 While you’re in the area, we recommend exploring the local delights. Enjoy wine tasting at over a hundred wineries, including some of the first organic wineries in the country. Downtown Boonville

Enjoy a stroll in downtown Boonville's main drag! Wine tasting, your morning latté, tasty pastries, and fine dining dot Highway 128 in this tiny wine country town. Back in 1862, some white guy built a hotel in the area, which effectively founded the town, now known for its historical arts and culture. Fun fact: the community is the source of the folk language called Boontling, now considered extinct as there are only a few living folks who speak the dialect. You probably won't hear people speaking the langauge, but you will find it written on some of the beers at Anderson Valley Brewing Co!
