Maid of Honor
Chelsea and Maddee have been besties since third grade where they used to exchange food during snack time. Since then it's been many, many years of sunbathing on rooftops, chasing after thunderstorms, sleeping under dining room tables, and generally just enjoying life together as two weirdos figuring it all out. Maddee's been the perfect best friend and now she'll be the perfect maid of honor. Chelsea couldn't imagine a better person to stand by her side through it all!
Bridesmaid
Alyssa and Chelsea both attended USM and first met when Alyssa began dating Michael's good friend Justin. She seemed like a perfect fit for the friend group and Chelsea was immediately impressed with Alyssa's clothing style, talent for makeup and cool hair color. The two soon bonded over their love of anime, kittens and good food and now, years later, Chelsea is beyond thrilled to have Alyssa stand up and represent her on her big day!
Bridesman
Jacob is Chelsea's older brother and what a childhood they had. From chasing chickens from the barn, to four-wheeling through the woods to staying up at night to read books on aliens, it's surreal to think of all those sibling stories. Sure there were squabbles that led to crushed fingers in a door (sorry Jake!), but Chelsea is happy for her big brother to stand with her now for her special day.
Bridesmaid
Traci is Jacob's fiancé and one pretty badass woman. She and Chelsea first met almost seven years ago when Jake introduced her to the family. Chelsea was immediately impressed with her stories of learning how to use throwing stars as well as her love for Miyazaki movies and comic books. Now, years later, Chelsea can't imagine having the wedding of her dreams without Traci there to represent her!
Bridesmaid
Megan and Chelsea first met after Chelsea befriended Megan's brother, Kyle, and began hanging out at the Hall household. It didn't take long before Chelsea felt a connection with Megan through her love of animals, her kind nature, and her feisty determination to accomplish her goals. In fact, it was Megan's enthusiasm and pure excitement towards the couples engagement that made Chelsea sure she wanted Megan as a member of her bridal party on her special day. Plus, she always cries at weddings!
Best Man
For nearly ten years, Justin and Michael have been many things to each other: band mates, creative conspirators, gamers, coworkers, and a collective conscience in each other’s lives. Justin saved Michael from a college work life of grocery store deli shifts, and together they worked for seven years running a kayaking business and guiding trips. They’ve done so many things together, from camping to Comic Con, and Justin has an undisclosed amount of influence in bringing together the relationship that we’re all about to celebrate.
Groomsman
Like all proper siblings, Michael and Matthew shared a childhood bugging the crap out of each other and their parents. While the two of them couldn’t seem more different, as they’ve grown older, small parts of their personalities couldn’t seem more similar. In twenty-five years they’ve gone from chubby little opposites to standing side-by-side as one of them does one of the most important things he’ll ever do.
Groomsman
Michael met Greg in college as a friend-of-a-friend, and he has since been a well of wit and sarcasm, which are perhaps his most endearing traits. Late night D&D sessions fueled by Red Bull and regret for eating too much make Greg a subtly hilarious person to be around. Michael was thrilled at Greg’s enthusiastic “uhh, sure” when asked to be one of his groomsmen, as the wedding party would be incomplete without him.
Groomsman
Spenser and Michael have been friends since middle school, when Michael - quite accidentally - slapped one of his Chef Boyardee meatballs off his fork and across the lunchroom. It was a wonderful start to a friendship filled with meeples, victory points, little plastic figures, and a love for games of all kinds. Spenser’s M.O. is “fun,” and the wedding simply wouldn’t have as much of it without him.
Groomsman
Adam was Michael’s first (and arguably only) friend on campus when first starting college. They bonded on bus rides between Gorham and Portland campuses, and by making absurd late-night recordings of their bored college life selves (they’re seriously wacky). They spent so much of their freshman year together that they were mistaken for brothers, and one (possibly inebriated) girl even thought they were a couple. Even though Adam moved back to Waterville, Michael’s thrilled to have him at his wedding.
Officiant
Kyle, in so many ways, is perfect for the role of officiant at Michael and Chelsea's wedding because he's friendly, funny, and knows how to use the internet to become ordained in under seven minutes. Friends with Michael since their senior year in high school, he and Chelsea became acquainted sophomore year in college when she and Michael first began dating. Since then, they've all shared a friendship full of late-night D&D sessions, messy watermelon eating contests, and many existential arguments that usually leads to everyone just eating ice-cream. Both Michael and Chelsea couldn't think of a better person to officially marry them on their special day! (Plus, he's really tall.)
