Cassidy and Michael met studying abroad in the town of Vallendar, Germany. Michael claims it was love at first sight, as soon as he saw Cassidy's picture in the exchange student look book. As fate would have it, Cassidy and one of her best friends Alicia had unknowingly showed up at the front door of Michael's apartment on the first day of the semester thinking they had found the apartment building's common area. After meeting, Cassidy and Michael were quick to start spending more time together and spent the rest of the semester traveling with friends and falling in love.

Fast forward to December 16th, 2022. Cassidy was getting ready for what she thought was family photos, not knowing that in just hours she was about to have one of the best days of her life. Instead of walking into a photo shoot, Cassidy noticed that her family seemed to be missing and that there were rose petals around her and quickly started to realize what was happening. Michael popped the question, and both of their families popped out of hiding to help celebrate! To Our Family and Friends, We are so grateful for you and the role you have played that has lead us to such a special moment in our lives. We cannot wait to celebrate with you as we begin this new chapter of our lives!
