Their paths first crossed in 2010 as freshmen in high school. Caitlin thought Mike was the goofy boy with the wannabe Justin Bieber hair, and Mike thought she was the cute, quiet girl in English class. It was on late night car rides listening to “All of the Stars” by Ed Sheeran that their friendship blossomed. Mike spent the summer of 2014 plotting with their friends on how to make Caitlin’s house the last drop off spot, so they could spend as much time together as possible. In 2014, they headed off to separate colleges, but when winter break rolled around, Mike finally decided to make a move. Afraid a relationship could ruin their friendship, Caitlin turned Mike down. This back and forth went on for years through college, relationships, and momentous life changes. Deep down, however, Caitlin had alway felt Mike would be her person in the end. In 2019, after 9 years of friendship, Caitlin decided to risk it all and give it a chance, and she is beyond grateful that she did. Since that fateful New Year’s Eve night, Mike and Caitlin have been spending every moment together laughing, singing, and goofing around. His kind and goofy soul are exactly what Caitlin needs. And her warm and silly spirit are exactly what Mike needs. We are beyond thankful that each and every one of you will be there on the day we say yes to forever! We can’t wait to celebrate with you :)
